Leafr allows you to directly invite Consultants to apply directly to projects you have posted, meaning you can proactively see and reach out to Consultants who you want to work with. We also proactively suggest profiles to you using AI, so you're set up to find the best experts for your initiatives.
Your invited consultants will appear in a separate "Invited Consultants" section on your project page, where you can track their response status.
Inviting Consultants after you post a project
Once you've posted your project, you'll see a list of 'Suggested' consultants appear. Leafr uses AI to analyse your requirements and suggest the most suitable consultants. Each suggested consultant comes with:
AI Match Rating: A percentage score (e.g., 95% Match) showing how well the consultant fits your project requirements
Profile overview: Including their expertise, daily rate, and star ratings
Relevant tags: Skills and industry experience that match your needs
You can review these suggestions and invite your preferred consultants directly from the suggestions page.
Manual Consultant search
You can also browse and search the full consultant network on Leafr, and reach out to individuals. To do this:
Navigate to Consultants: Use the main navigation to access the consultant database.
Filter by expertise: Use the search and filter options to find consultants with specific skills.
Review profiles: Click on any consultant to view their detailed profile, testimonials, and experience.
Favourite consultants: Use the heart icon to save consultants for future projects.
Click the "Invite to Project" dropdown, from their profile card or their profile page, and select your project from the list, then send the invitation.
Note: You can only do this once you have posted a project.
From Your Project Page
After you've posted a project, you'll also see a 'Suggested Consultants' section in the 'Applications' tab.
You then follow the same process as above to invite each one.
What happens after you invite someone to apply?
Firstly - Consultants don't automatically apply if you invite them. They will get the invitation which encourages them to apply, and it's up to them from that point. Here's what happens:
Consultant notified: The invited consultant will receive an email and app notification about your project invitation.
Application Decision: Consultants can choose to apply to your project or not.
Application review: if they do, their application will appear in your project's "Applications" tab.
Interview process and selection: You can schedule interviews with promising applicants. Once you choose your preferred consultant you can move to contracting.
Best Practices
Review AI suggestions first: Leafr's matching algorithm is pretty accurate
Add personal messages if you can: A brief note about why you're interested in working with them can improve response rates
Invite multiple consultants: Aim for 3-5 invitations to ensure good options
Act quickly: The best consultants get booked fast, so review and invite promptly
